Guide 5 for treatment of disease by internal medicine of Pranayama.
Internal medicine of the Pranayama is the act of the inhalation which should be deep, uniform and complete. At the end of a inhalation of Pranayama ,the lungs should be filled completely, there being full expansion of all parts of the lungs, while the brain ,the heart and liver are relaxed.

Those are towards the inhalation of Pranayama, exhalation of Pranayama, and the interruption of the process of breathing  of Pranayama after having filled lungs (kumbhaka Pranayama). A puraka in deep Pranayama is the act of the inhalation which should be deep and complete. At the end of a inhalation of Pranayama the lungs should be filled completely, there being full expansion of all parts of the lungs. The act of inhalation of Pranayama should be a slow act, considering there is no additional force applied to suck the air . The flow of air should be uniform from the beginning till the end of the act of  inhalation of Pranayama. The time taken by each act of inhalation of Pranayama in the successive rounds of a meeting should be identical. Thus the act of inhalation of Pranayama  (puraka) is not simply any form of inhalation but  is a ordered inhalation of Pranayama  meeting the above conditions  & consciously. In the same way, the rechaka Pranayama is not exhalation simply. It means an exhalation ordered which is slow, deep, uniform, and accomplished in equal time in each one round. At the end of a rechaka Pranayama the lungs should be emptied until the maximum degree, their tiny tubes contracting as much as possible. In the case of kumbhaka Pranayama it is no question speed there, of movement of breathing, uniformity, or depth. It implies to stop all the movements of Breathing by considering any breathing apparatus tightened and always. There is a fixed proportion of time to be maintained with regard to the puraka Pranayama, the kumbhaka Pranayama and the rechaka Pranayama. It is recommended to him that the rechaka Pranayama should take with double time as for the puraka. In the puraka there is muscular effort to increase the lungs. Rechaka Pranayama is a comparatively passive act helped by the elasticity of the lungs .  There should not be any feeling of exhaustion or tiredness to any stage of Pranayama. One should never not exceed the capacity to maintain the Breathing due to enthusiasm . The half an hour for deep breathing exercise of yoga in a meeting and the two of meetings in day should be prescribed limits. In the beginning one should not practice the kombhaka whole, but only the puraka and the rechaka. The duration of the kumbhaka Pranayama should reach more than the puraka. But this proportion must be carried out slowly after the sufficient practice of deep breathing exercise of yoga. After having finished a kumbhaka Pranayama one should have no feeling of smothering. In the same way, after a rechaka Pranayama there should be no f desire for sucking the air with the force

At the end of a practice of Pranayama , he should have a certain capacity to undergo  some more rounds. There should not be the feeling to have finished something which is tedious or difficult. But the feeling one should test must be that a pleasant business which could easily be continued  more . And at the finishing of deep Pranayama one should have a feeling of peace and satisfaction.

In the deep Pranayama, the inhalation can be made by the left or right nostril or both. The same one is true rechaka. In some varieties the inhalation of Pranayama is made by the mouth. But the rechaka Pranayama is never made by the mouth. The right hand is used for closing the right nostril. The left nostril is closed with the ring and the small fingers. The closing of a nostril must be carried out not by closing the opening but by tightening the nostril from the side of the nose with the fingers gently, so that the interior surface on the side of the nose touches the septum. Thus the totality of the part before nasal passage is closed and not only the lips. When the two nostrils must be closed like while making the kumbhaka, the two sides of the nose are gently tight against the septum, using the  two fingers simultaneously. This arrangement for closing the nostrils is convenient for all the goals because the position of the fingers can be shifted easily to maintain a nostril open for the puraka and the other for the rechaka or to change the order in each one round successive. Some people can find it more convenient to employ the left hand instead of the right. or use only the finger of index for closing nostrils in the puraka or the rechaka.
