/18.2/. Central
Communication: Guru Astavakra tells disciple Janaka that one gets plenty of
enjoyments by acquiring all kinds of worldly objects. Surely one cannot be happy
without renouncing all kinds of worldly objects in conscious mind by profound
meditation. Guru tells disciple Janaka that the renunciations of all kinds of
enjoyments and objects of matter world in conscious mind alone removes all kinds
of fears and desires in mind. Real happiness comes when one is free from fears
and desires. The happiness that is felt by person having fears and desires in
mind is mere avoiding unhappiness and are not enjoying real happiness. In
acquiring enjoyment of objects of matter world, there is the fear of disease. In
acquiring enjoyment of objects of matter world of social position, there is the
fear of fall. In acquiring enjoyment of objects of matter world of wealth, there
is the fear of hostile. In acquiring enjoyment of objects of matter world of
honor, there is the fear of humiliation. In acquiring enjoyment of objects of
matter world of power, there is the fear of foes. In acquiring enjoyment of
objects of matter world of beauty, there is the fear of old age. In acquiring
enjoyment of objects of matter world of virtue, there is the fear of vices. In
acquiring enjoyment of body, there is the fear of death. Enjoyments of all
things of the world are attended with fear and desires and renunciation in
conscious mind by profound meditation alone eliminates all fears and desires.
Acquiring Sense of enjoyment of objects of matter world work under lack of
spiritual knowledge of outer unaware mind. Renunciation of enjoyment of objects
of matter world is possible with spiritual knowledge of deeper conscious mind.
And both do not go together. Outer unaware mind and deeper conscious mind are
contradictory and opposite states of mind.
Really sense of acquiring enjoyment of objects of matter world and true happiness cannot go together and with the attainment of one the other is lost itself in opposite state of mind.
