Literature: -
Parkartiya shunya chitsaya kuvarat
asya tadh achchhya parkartiya eva dhirsaya na maana na avmaantaa ||
/18.24/ Parkartiya= naturally,
shunya = vacant, chitsaya= mind,
kuvarat = doing, asya= this, tadh
= that, achchhya = comes itself, parkartiya = naturally , eva= like
[ordinary person], dhirsaya= he who has realized and stabilized
self-conscious , na= not, maan
= honor, na = not, avmaantaa= dishonour Translation: He
who has realized and stabilized self-conscious is naturally of vacant
mind. He does that comes itself. Naturally like ordinary person, he is not
affected by honor or dishonor. /18.24/. Central
Communication: Guru Astavakra says that a normal person has thoughts and
desires for objects and things of world in his unaware mind .So he is
affected by modification of thoughts of senses originating in unaware mind
causing honors and dishonors. But
a self-conscious stabilized one [dhirsaya] remains devoid of thoughts of
mind. While performing actions and motion of body, he does not identify
his senses with the relative aspects of his body and egoism. He does not
identify self-conscious in conscious mind with relative aspect of his
being ness, in reference to the sense of honor or dishonor arises. But a
normal person is always doing all his action with thought senses that
works under lack of spiritual knowledge, resulting identification with
body and mind and is effected by honors and dishonors. A person having
naturally empty mind, act just as he pleases, is not affected by pride or
false humility, as is normal person affected. Honor and dishonor are
traits of unaware mind and conscious mind is never affected by it. One who
feels honor or dishonor in performing various acts of life has not yet
realized and stabilized spiritual knowledge of conscious mind and
self-conscious.
A
self-conscious realized yoga disciple who has clearly become vacant mind
as no modifications arise in his mind and is doing what comes of itself as
he is acting through the effects of past life subliminal karma
impressions, is not affected by honor and dishonor as the normal person is
effected.
