Verse
18.77 Transliteration of original classical
literature: -
Giaanaat glit karmaa ya lok dhavshtya
upi karam karat sa apnoeti avsaram kartaem vkartaim eva na kinchan ./18.77/. Giaanaat = owing to spiritual
education, glit= become wrong, karmaa= performance of karma,
ya= although, lok =
people, dhavshtya= vision of , upi=
even , karam= karma,
karat= doing, sa = he,
apnoeti= attains, avsaram=
opportunity, kartaem= to do,
vkartam= to say, eva=
even, na = not, kinchan=
anything. Translation: Owing to spiritual
education, whose performance of karma
become wrong, although in vision of people he is doing karma, he
does not even attain any opportunity
to do or say anything. /18.77/. Insight vision: With the dawn
of spiritual education, one who ceased the performance of karma is seen
performing of karma by normal people. But he does not get opportunity to
do or say anything. Guru wise says that he whose karma has ceased
with the dawn of spiritual education does not find any opportunity to do
or say anything; even in normal people’s eyes he is doing works. Really true inaction of karma is not
in cessation of physical activity or performance of works, but the
doer’s freedom from the conceit of ‘ I am the doer’. Though in the
eyes of the world he is active, the person who has shed action through
spiritual education finds no means of doing or speaking anything. A spiritual education realized yoga
disciple owing to spiritual education does not find any opportunity to do
any work or say anything, even though normal people observe him doing
work.
