Te   hlada   paritapa   phalah   punya   apunya   hetutvat /14/.
 
Te = these,  hlada = temporary
pleasure,  paritapa = anguish,  phalah = fruit,   punya =  karma tested with virtuous thought,  apunya = karma tested with impure thoughts,  hetutvat =causative factors.

The fruits of the karma tested with the virtuous thought and the impure thoughts are the causative factors for these pleasure or distresses temporary. Because of these causative factors of karma tested with the virtuous thought and the karma tested with the impure thoughts, the life examines the fruits like pleasure or distresses temporary./14/. 


Point of view : tools of the schooling of meditation 14: -

Through the result of lack of religious schooling and the resultant anguish , human life  become victims upon the cycle of karma which condition the degree, type, and length of the movement of thought which in turn further sow the seed of the undesirable karma. These cycles of the karmic  may produce as fruits  temporary pleasure  or anguish depending upon their causative factors due to karma tested with virtuous thought  or karma tested with impure  thought  which result in pleasure or anguish respectively. Thus one becomes locked up, bound, and enslaved to cyclic existence and dysfunctional thought patterns.

Really  karma tested with virtuous thought and karma tested with impure  thought are the sweet and bitter fruits which gives happiness and agony respectively. Happiness and unhappiness are brought about by the performance of karma actions with thoughts of virtuous  or bad  respectively. It is virtue or bad thought, which is responsible for the sweet and bitter fruit which one finds along the path of life in matter world. The body, its life span and its lingering past karma subliminal impressions that a living being undergoes all along the path of his life, are according to the virtuous or bad thoughts while performing karma actions, virtuous or bad karma actions.

 Whatever  pleasures or  sorrow a living being undergoes is according to the consequences of his past lingering subliminal karma impressions and according to the performance of virtuous or bad karma in thoughts of unconscious mind. Happiness and pain are according to the past lingering subliminal karma impressions of a person’s previous life, its merits and demerits, its auspicious and inauspicious, karma actions and cravings.

When a living being undergoes the consequences of his karma actions, he gets the type of fruit of karma action according to the type of craving, which he harbors, in the thoughts of his unconscious mind. The seed of negative action is also born at this time as per  nature essence command. At the time of undergoing the consequences of his karma action and karma and works in matter world, there is a craving for the performance of virtuous and auspicious karma in thought. This craving thought gets adopted in the seed of karma action. At the time of undergoing the consequences of his karma actions, there is a craving thought in the unconscious mind to not perform inauspicious or bad karma. The same craving thought gets adopted in the form of the seed of karma action. A mind, which is craving free thought and intellect free thought at the time of undergoing the consequences of his karma actions, such a mind becomes free from the seed of karma action also.

Patanjali says that virtuous action is not to be performed with thoughts in unconscious mind. Escape from non-virtuous action is also not to be sought in thought by stopping the enjoyment of mundane pleasures and material things or by stopping the enjoyment of the gross subliminal past karma impressions of a living being. He says that the consequences of karma action have to be faced and the fruits of karma action have to be borne consciously according to the lingering past subliminal karma impressions. He says that it is only the ignorant that try to stop the consequences of the fruits of karma action through physical self-discipline. Stopping the physical fruits of karma action while living in matter world is impossible. This is because undergoing the consequences of karma action that have been pre-destined has to be undergone. The fruit of karma action has to be undergone in future lives if not in the present life.

Guru says that what the master of the schooling of meditation is to do is to stop the thought of performance of karma tested with the virtuous thought and the karma tested with the impure thoughts. Such a resolve is to be taken in conscious mind with grim determination. Such a resolve is to be undertaken imaginatively and consciously. Such a resolve in thought is to be accomplished by entering into a state of silence and vowing to perform virtuous karma that are free from thought of virtuous or bad. Resolve in thought is also to be taken to follow the path of non-violence and adhering to truth and abjuring falsehood at this time. . The master of the schooling of meditation is not to have thought of affection or enmity towards family and material things. He must take a resolve in thought not to hoard wealth or other things. A resolve in thought is to be taken to lead a pure life of contentment with  tools of the schooling of meditation and a life of meditation  .

 The physical fruits of karma action have to be borne consciously irrespective of the thought of pain or pleasure in a mental state. The consequences of physical karma actions have to be treated as a benediction of  nature essence and borne as a grace of interior  God essence. Physical affection or enmity is not to be stilled towards pain or pleasure. Both are to be treated and loved alike in mind. The physical fruits of karma action, which have to be borne, are to be born consciously and with a view to attain spiritual knowledge through the Spiritual meditation of yogic discipline.

 Really, according to virtue and good, bad and bad and mixed karma actions thereof, the quality of human life, its time span and nature of birth and location of birth in natural world  is tested as pleasure giving or pain giving. But Saintly people live even bad or bad life consciously as in heaven whereas ignorant leads even good or virtuous life of heaven with thoughts of unconscious mind as in hell.
