Tatah = of that  , dvandvah  = duality subjects or objects,   anabhighatah =   balanced beyond disturbance.

Of that  balanced posture), the subjects and the objects of duality are balanced beyond the disturbance.. /48/.  


   Mediation learning : View point  48: -
 On attainment of perfection in stable firm and balanced posture, the disciple of mediation is not disturbed by duality subjects or objects. It is when the disciple of mediation achieves a firm, balanced and comfortable posture that the duality subjects or objects no longer affect him. He completely becomes immune from the onslaughts of the
duality subjects or objects  like pain and pleasure, heat and cold, success and failure, honor and dishonor etc. The disciple of mediation no longer feels the harassment by the duality subjects or objects . It is when the discipline of posture gets cultivated, disciplined and balanced that the experience of the feelings of the duality subjects or objects is not felt and experienced.

When the posture on being cultivated becomes comfortable , firm and balanced, the pairs of the feelings of duality subjects or objects  in respect of the body, do not make the body uncomfortable. It is when the mediation of posture gets cultivated, disciplined and balanced that mediation of organs of action and senses of perception crosses beyond the circumference of the body and withdrawn in conscious mind. Thereafter, the mediation of organs of action and senses of perception gets focused on the five kinds of innumerable thoughts of the mind. On the cultivation of the discipline of posture, mediation of organs of action and senses of perception starts getting flowing in the innumerable thoughts of the mind. Thereafter, the disciple of mediation does not feel the separate existence of his body from his mind. He also does not feel the separate existence of his mind from his self-conscious of soul. All that he does feel is about the flow of thoughts in respect of innumerable subjects and objects in mind. It is on the cultivation of the discipline of posture that dualistic feelings in the body like heat and cold, hunger and thirst, pain and pleasure etc become meaningless. The sting of a mosquito or of a fly also does not make the body uncomfortable. The buzzing of mosquitoes or flies does not lead to any discomfiture of the body.

Patanjali says that in the cultivation of profound mediation of yoga, thoughts of mind are to be restrained and nullified. Halting the flow of thoughts tantamount to making the mind unhappy. By making the mind unhappy it becomes impossible to stop the flow of the thoughts of the mind. It is, however, by making the thoughts craving free that they can be restrained and nullified in the depth of the conscious mind. At the end even the auspicious and the inauspicious seeds of action have to be restrained and nullified. Whatever effort is to be undertaken in the discipline and practice of mediation of the yoga, it has to be undertaken on the body posture, thoughts of organs of action and senses of perception . It has to be undertaken on the posture and finally it has to be undertaken on organs of action and senses of perception . The body posture is to be made firm and balanced by making it comfortable. The mind is to be made firm and balanced prior to the self-discipline and nullification of its thoughts. The body posture  is to be made firm and balanced prior to making the mind firm and balanced.

When the body posture becomes comfortable , firm and balanced, the  limb of posture gets cultivated. It is on the cultivation of the yogic limb of the posture that the connection of the gross body posture with the mind automatically gets broken. With the break of this connection, the gross body posture loses its separate existence and appears as the subtle mind. The feeling of dualism in the body posture itself gets eradicated. With the eradication of this feeling, all the good and bad feelings of the body also get eradicated. Heat and cold, hunger and non-hunger, pain and pleasure and agony and ecstasy- all these dualistic feelings become meaningless in conscious mind. The doer or the experience of these feelings, which is the body, becomes numb and motionless. Thereafter, the body posture becomes firm and balanced. One gets bestowed with non-dualistic wisdom.
