The experiment of pleasure is followed attachment to the affection.

Pleasure experiences ignite desire for affection and close connection to attachments. Affection  dwells upon pleasure, enjoyment, delight and sweetness in things and living beings of matter world. When a living being or thing or any subject experience is wrongly evaluated as a pleasure, enjoyment and delight, it means that the evaluator has attachment to affection for that object or subject of experience. It is because of a person’s mental coloring that objects or subjects or experiences look attractive and eye-catching. There is deep connection of pleasure with attachment to affection and longing for it with greed and with desire. Attachment to affection to pleasure giving things and living beings falls within the realm of lack of religious knowledge and false thoughts.

Attachment to affection is the cause of distress provoking memory. The memory and thought of already enjoyed sensate pleasures create a desire and craving for their repeated pleasure. The thoughts of already enjoyed sensate pleasures also refresh there gone by memories. Greediness / lust for pleasure leads to craze for affection and attachment. Affection and pleasure are closely related and attainment of one brings the others. The cause of lust and craze for affection and attachment to pleasure is self-ego. It is also lack of religious knowledge. It is on account of lust and craze for pleasure that the thoughts of unconscious mind keep on revolving around and is affected and attached to issues pertaining to wealth, offspring’s and power positions and worldly honors. These thoughts keep on regarding these issues as sources of pleasures, thereby deluding the unconscious mind for affection and attachment to the related subjects or objects.

Really the thought of affection and attachment does not carry within it any pleasure, enjoyment, and happiness, delight that is permanent. On the contrary, it produces pain, unease or sorrow at the end. Affection or attachment is a kind of would be apprehensive trouble for pain , unease and sorrows. It is on account of the vibrations of a person’s pious past lingering subliminal karma impressions that attachment and lust come into human being. The result is that the unconscious mind does not get contented even amidst worldly pleasures enjoyment, happiness, and delight. Rather it becomes the more discontented by cultivating longings and cravings for greater pleasures, enjoyment, and happiness, delight.

This is the distress produced by pleasure feeling by harboring attachments and affections in the unconscious mind. It is only on the elimination of self-ego and on the attainment of religious knowledge about lack of religious knowledge that the pure conscious mind becomes static in its form of a spectator and mere witnessing. It is the unconscious mind, which considers the enjoyment of worldly pleasures according to the lingering past subliminal impressions karma as pleasures. However conscious mind regards the pleasures as meaningless. Conscious mind gets contented in the enjoyment of these available pleasures and have no affection and attachment for any worldly things and human beings.

A sage, who renounces the pleasure, enjoyment, happiness, delight giving thoughts from amongst the enjoyment of sensate pleasure of karma and also renounces the craving for worldly pleasures, enjoyment, happiness, delight, is called a great renounced or an ascetic. By renouncing the pleasure, enjoyment, happiness, delight, producing thoughts, the pain, unease and sorrow provoking thoughts automatically get renounced. Really by renouncing attachment to affection, liking and affection of material world, both pleasure and pain automatically get renounced. And retaining affection and attachments to worldly things and living being, suffering, unease and sorrow fruits cannot be escaped.
