| Insight vision
on original yoga thesis14: -
Long drawn out ,Yoga practice continued for a long time and carried all the time ,becomes deep rooted and firm in the foundation for ending the thought of state of mind And this practice becomes firmly rooted when it is
continued with respect for a long A practice undertaken with respect and over a long period of time in a sustained
manner makes itself firmly grounded. Such a practice further digs its
roots deep in state of mind when it is followed for a long time
unremittingly and with respect. When such a practice is
carried on consciously over a long period of time and with respect, it entrenches itself firmly in the state of mind of the seeker
of truth. The practice of ending the flow of thought over a long period
and without any break but with respect and determination makes the whole yoga
practice extremely successful. As a result, such a yoga
practice gradually becomes a person’s nature of state of mind and also
becomes a habit of his state of mind . If a thought is continuously
practiced over a long period and practiced with respect, , a time comes when the practiced thought becomes a part and
parcel of the and state of mind . It becomes unnecessary for
the state of mind at that stage even to think about this practice because of its
hold over all the layers of the state of mind . A person’s thinking process gets
habituated to having the end in thought. The state of mind inculcates the
habit of practicing the yoga practice of ending thought
without any effort. The state of mind gets used to ending thought all the time.
Similarly, the thinking practice, by repeatedly ending the wanderings and
vagaries of the wayward state of mind gets into the habit of ending them. In the
process, the state of mind becomes the eliminator of its own wandering
and vagaries. It consciously and unconsciously develops the habit of
ending their flow and their wandering trespasses. The ocean like calm and static outer
layer of state of mind becomes restless due to the turbulence of
thought. It gets perturbed on account of tumultuous waves of thought
flowing over it. It is however, possible to pacify the restless state of
mind by
following the method enunciated by Patanjali. Details about
this method are given in thesis 12-13. Repeated and continuous efforts to
end the flow of thought through not to be under the effect of attraction and constant practice,
converts the thinking process into an instrument for pacifying the
turbulence of thought. The hurricane of thought creates restlessness in
the depths of the state of mind . This hurricane counter acts and
opposes the hurricane of thought. The tug of war between the two
hurricanes makes the state of mind thought-free. It makes the human
state of mind tranquil
and quiet and placid like the Pacific Ocean. It also steadies and
stabilizes the upper part of the state of mind and makes it happy and
calm. A calm and static and stable state of mind is a happy and tranquil state of mind . The soul of a human being
is a passive witness. It is an on looker and a spectator. A disciple, who
desires to have insight vision of his soul and formless
God and also desires to have realization of the spiritual wisdom of
soul and wisdom of God and cosmic law, may realize this knowledge with
the help of his self-conscious. Such wisdom lies hidden in the deeper state of mind of the human being himself. The soul is the only internal
witness of human life. The insight vision of the soul, God, of the formless self-conscious, of the universe-all these vista visions are boundless and
dimensionless and panoramic. They are infinite. It is impossible for a
living or a non-living being to have a complete insight vision of them all
at one single time. Human being is itself a small particle
of this vast panoramic vista insight vision of universe. Hence it is not
possible for him to see or comprehend the entire vast infinite. All living
beings and all embodied beings are endowed with the same sense of
alertness, consciousness and concentration. The soul, which is a witness,
fixes its attention on the view on which its sight is focused. Hence it
gets a glimpse of its view. The soul consciously experiences and feels and
imbibes the spiritual knowledge hidden in the view. The upper layer of the
state of mind is in a state restlessness. This is on account of the turbulence of
thought. It is also polluted on account of the run-away thought. Hence,
it is not possible for a human being to enter its region unconsciously and
with un-alertness. Even if he is able to enter with self-un-alertness, his
state of mind receives and imbibes no impressions of the view contained in it. It is impossible to pierce the smoke
screen of contemplated thought with the expertise of experience of logic
or scientific or information wisdom. When the state of mind
becomes tranquil and happy and is thought-free and calm and static, the
soul witnesses the true state of mind . It also
imbibes the true knowledge contained therein. The soul conveys the
spiritual wisdom that it has in the state of mind . The
state of mind
imbibes this knowledge as per the dictates of its natural bent and habits
and inclinations of state of mind . Majority of human being because
of his entanglement in thought which keep on racing through his state of mind , is not able to have a
foresight of his
state of mind , even while they are in a state of alertness and consciousness. This
is because human being with his art of intelligence has developed
self-sense and sense of ego that he is the doer. With this art he has
created an imaginary form of soul and an imaginary form of God in thought
of state of mind . With the help of his matter senses of nose, ears,
eyes, mouth and skin, he tries to get a glimpse of the matter world. He
also enjoys delusion that he is enjoying the glimpse of soul and god. The
matter form of the universe is subject to change. This form of delusion is
an offshoot of thought of state of mind that is also subtle attributes
and is a branch of state of mind . But human being has learnt the art of
intelligence. With help of this art, he has learned to compare the present
with the past and the future. This being so, he have delusion that it is
possible for him to acquire the wisdom of both the worlds-the world of
the living and the world of the dead. But true thought is that the
knowledge of life and death cannot be experienced at the same moment. The
fact is that when a human being sleeps, he enters the subtle universe. At
that time he enters a temporary form of death. When human being’s
self-conscious enters the subtle universe and all that he experiences in
it, he simply gets insight vision of the all-static oneness of formless
God. In that formless universe, he realizes that there are no actions for
the embodied soul as well as do not find any joy or sorrow in any dream
