Transliteration of original Yoga thesis : -
Drsta anusravika visaya vitrsnasya vastikara samjna vairagyam, /15/.

Drsta =  to see directly, anusravika =  to hear directly , visaya = object ,  vitrsnasya = without desire,  vastikara = control ,  samjna  = semi knowledge  , vairagyam = not to be under effect of attraction.


Translation  of original yoga thesis: -

When a person become without desire for the objects seen directly and heard of others, this control of the semi knowledge  invites oneself not to be under the effect of attraction. /15/.


Insight vision on original yoga thesis15: -  

 Freedom from desire for  the objects seen directly and heard of  scriptural testimony of thought  of others leading to not to be under the effect of attraction  from desires is called renunciation.

The dispelling of doubts with the aid of objects seen directly and scriptural objects is called not to be under the effect of attraction. Freedom from desire  for objects seen directly and scriptural testimony is not to be under the effect of attraction . When a person attains freedom from desire  for objects seen directly and scriptural objects, he attains not to be under the effect of attraction  called renunciation or indifference to the objects. The semi true knowledge of not to be under the effect of attraction  lies in controlling the desires  for the subjects and objects which have been seen or heard or read about or learnt from the sayings and discourses of the Great Sages.

The semi true knowledge of not to be under the effect of attraction  also lies in shunning the enjoyment of worldly pleasures. Not to be under the effect of attraction  also means making a person’s thought desire free in respect of even the thought of worldly pleasures. The condition of  state of mind  and the condition of thought knowledge that the state of mind  gets completely satiated after seeing and hearing and reading about the objects of enjoyment is called the condition of not to be under the effect of attraction . In such a condition, the  state of mind  becomes totally free from desire or even the thought of desire.

In order to liberate the state of mind  from the desire of enjoyment of sensual pleasures, it is essential to repeatedly control the thought of desire. The thought of desire is to be counter-acted with the thought of  knowledge. The resultant situation that occurs after the tug of wars between the two thought leads to the state of not to be under the effect of attraction . In this state, the desire of enjoyment of worldly pleasures does not get eliminated. It only gets suppressed. Suppression of desire makes it weak and feeble. It also makes it hide itSemi. The result is that the thought of desire does not come to the surface but remains hidden in the layers of the state of mind . The thought of desire and enjoyment of sensual pleasures without direct perception of issues and objects written or heard is, however, felt.

Such a thought is entertained by the state of mind  through the medium of control of thought.. Not to be under the effect of attraction  lies in the repeated and aware practice of making these  desire of thought and desire free and there after satiating them. Extracting the thought of enjoyment of sensual pleasures from out of a person’s thinking process is also called not to be under the effect of attraction . Stopping again and again the desire free thought by sustained efforts is called repeated practice. At the time when a person tries to get into a state of renunciation or indifference to the world, the desire  and its thought remains behind in his state of mind  in a rudimentary seed form. By repeated practice constant efforts, even the thought’s rudimentary seed form gets eliminated and erased from the human man’s state of mind . This state is called the state of super not to be under the effect of attraction  or renunciation.

What are thought made of? Thought are made of logic knowledge and information knowledge about the past and future of material things, of worldly subjects and objects. Thought are also made of knowledge of living beings of the universe and the  knowledge of the matter and subtle elements, which a man imbibes in his state of mind . The knowledge of these imbibed impressions relate to rhythm of touch, color, taste, smell and sound of sense organs. Information and knowledge relating to all these comprises thought. Thought is meaningless to those living beings who dwell in the present or who do not know the art of intelligence. Like wise saints, the thought is meaningless for a person who lives in a thought free state or who is in deep asleep. Such a person cannot have semi true thought.

How is it possible to have semi true thought? Semi true thought comprises all that is felt by experience of the sense of the state of mind  and sense organs of the body. Further, all thought as seen by the eyes, all thought as heard by the ears, all thought as tasted by the mouth, all thought as smelt by the nose and all thought as touched by the body, come in the range of semi true thought.

How is semi true thought experienced? All thought experienced in a state of complete Semi-aware are semi true thought. Most people do not believe that majority of human of being do not know to think in a state of state of mind . They are not even aware of what that they are thinking. They remain unaware of the entire range of thought passing through their state of mind . This shows that their concentration is not solely fixed on themselves. Neither is their concentration fixed on what they are thinking about the subject or object under consideration of their thought. As such, they are not able to think rightly and correctly. They are not able to think in a correct manner. Hence they are not able to have semi true thought. Whatever they think falls within the range of falsehood, misconception and imagination. Their thinking results in false thought or verbal thought or memory thought. Their thinking process does not even know to experienced semi true thought.

What is semi conscious of state ? Semi-concentration and Semi-contemplation refer to withdrawing sense organs of body from matter world for interior journey to  state of mind . Semi-aware refers to withdrawing of thought from outer layer of interior  state of mind    and feeling the subject or object of thought in semi-state of mind . Semi-aware refer to withdrawing from even feeling of subject or object from semi-state of mind  and entering in state of mind  called the core  state of nature essence and that is the abode of embodied soul. Semi-aware is wrapped around his result oriented actions called karma in semi-state of mind . It is wrapped around Semi-aware that is outer part of soul. This formless subtle appearance is the dweller of human beings. Its passion and subtle attribute is that it can enter the subject matter of both the small and the big appearance of the formless static and matter universe. It enters the subtle appearance of the universe through astral bodies. After death it enters the subtle universe through astral bodies. It is the fastest moving object of the subtle and the matter universe. It is perpetually chained and tied to the soul through state of mind  of each individual living being.

Since Semi-aware is a core  subject and is in inhabitant of core  formless unconscious state of mind , it is not felt by most of human being in his body. Most people do not have faith in this semi true knowledge. As such, they are not able to think correctly. When the Great Sage says that it is possible to have God realization in  single life span, he asks the disciple to control this Semi-aware, Semi-concentration and lastly to Semi-aware for directing embodied soul attention towards interior God essence. The speed of Semi-aware is faster than the fastest rocket of rockets. Its correct speed is beyond the comprehension of a living being. Semi-aware or Semi-concentration is part of state of mind  that is core  essence of nature, where as Semi-aware is part of soul. State of mind  is core  and innermost part of core  nature essence that is wrapped over interior soul essence.

What is an astral body? Every soul resides forever in a core  body. This core  body is eternally formless and is static. Apart from the soul, the body contains an account of its result-oriented past actions and lingering past life impressions called karma. It also contains an element of Semi-conscious and Semi-conscious or a person can say formless elements of concentration. This subtle body is united with the interior soul essence and nature essence by cosmic law in state of mind  of living beings. As such, the state of mind  contains the complete spiritual knowledge of the soul essence and nature essence as well of the cosmic law. It is for this reason that the Great Sage shows the path to enter God, Nature and cosmic law through interior of state of mind  and Semi-aware that is semi true Semi of human being or astral body.

The path to enter God essence and nature essence lies through the spiritual knowledge of the soul and through the knowledge of the state of mind  of result-oriented actions of this subtle astral body. When a living being dies and is not able to take on another body, he rests in the astral body of the core  formless universe. Residing there, the state of mind  does not have to perform any action or do any work or undertake any tasks. All that happens in the core  astral body called consciousness is remembrance and recapitulation of past result oriented actions and lingering impressions of past lives. The soul keeps on witnessing this remembrance and recapitulation.

When a human being or any other living being enters the matter appearance of the universe, state of mind  creates a body over an astral body or consciousness. This body is created for a definite time and for a definite function. Semi-consciousness in the living being resides in the in the state of mind  of the living being, which is formless and static. The Great Sage tells the disciple to make the body and state of mind  static and pull its Semi-conscious into the state of mind  in order to enter the astral corpse. From there the straight path leads to the spiritual knowledge of the soul. The astral corpse is a rudimentary form of formless of the state of mind  and Semi-conscious and is interior core  semi true part of nature essence.

Where does Semi-conscious reside during imagination? Most people do not believe that when a person enjoys sensual pleasures, his Semi-conscious does not reside in him. . The state of mind  keeps it constantly engrossed either in its innumerable attachments or its endless aversions. The state of mind  keeps on hearing and contemplating about each  of them turn by turn. state of mind ’s un-alertness uses all the senses turn by turn for the contemplation and concentration of sensual pleasures. Semi-conscious have very fast speeds. Hence it appears that all the senses are feeling and working together. It is a misconception to feel that alertness of all sensual pleasures is being experienced simultaneously.

Semi true thought points out that at a given time and place, Semi-conscious and Semi-concentration go out of the state of mind  and the corpse through a particular sense. Similarly, at a given time and place, Semi-conscious and Semi-concentration get fixed on an object or subject through a particular sense. Human being’s state of mind  harbors thought about countless subjects and objects. Hence Semi-conscious at the time of enjoyment of sensual pleasures is not fully correct, as it does not get fully fixed on a person particular subject of enjoyment. As such the thought that results in unaware state of mind  is false thought containing many strands of thought. This deluded thought alertness is never static. It is always on the move. When the state of mind s appear calm and inattentive, alertness even at that time keeps on moving and keeps on remaining in a state of motion in endless thought.

How is Semi-conscious focused on an issue? This is possible by stopping and re-stopping the wanderings of the state of mind  and by stopping the wheel of imagination and thought. Semi-aware can be kept focused on a person single issue through constant meditation practice and not to be under the effect of attraction  called renunciation or indifference to the world.

How is Semi-conscious to be kept in the body? Most people do not believe in this semi true knowledge that the Semi-sense or Semi-ego always likes to speak and does not like to listen. Whenever this Semi-ego listens to someone, it listens because of its social, religious and economic compulsions. Look at the aged people. It is their compulsion that makes them to talk and speak but none likes to listen to them. Hence they keep on talking and muttering to themselves. They keep on chatter about their past false thought, about their past enjoyments of worldly and sensual pleasures, about their enmities, about their hatreds and about their attachments and aversions. At times, they indulge in loud speaking. They keep on muttering the scattered thought of their state of mind .

Semi true knowledge stipulates that a person should speak less. Speaking less is an essential pre-requisite to the attainment of semi true knowledge. As speaking decreases, thought pertaining to the external world start loosening their hold and ultimately they cease. It is at this time that alertness abandons the thought of external subjects and objects. A person no longer remains aware of even the thought of external things. Thereafter, alertness starts resting in the corpse. He starts remaining within the jurisdiction of the human being’s body. There it rests at leisure and is not disturbed by what is happening in matter world outside the corpse.

How to reduce the habit of speaking? Most people do not believe in this bitter truth that they spend majority of their time of life in talking and speaking. If they do not find ready listeners or if no a person listens to them, they divide their state of mind  into two parts. They make this division during their leisure or at night and during their sleep. a person part of their state of mind  speaks a thought. The second part of their state of mind  listens to it. In this way they carry on their conversation with themselves. Their state of mind  becomes a speaker and a listener simultaneously. A person should try to develop the habit of listening carefully and attentively by decreasing the habit of speaking. He should also inculcate the habit of feeling by reducing the flow of his thought. The habit of speaking less is to be consciously cultivated.

It is to be regularly practiced through aware and deliberate efforts over a long period of time. Nothing special need be done. A person should not try to speak him. a person should encourage others to speak. a person should pay attention and remain aware while he is listening to others. He is to become a good listener and not merely a good talker. You will soon see how happy the other persons feel when given a chance to speak. As the habit of listening strengthens, the habit of speaking lessens. With constant practice, the habit finally gets broken. The reason for inculcating a person habit at a time is that it is not possible to speak and listen at the same time. Further, at the time of speaking, a person’s alertness is out of his corpse, while at the time of listening, it is inside his corpse. With the strengthening of his habit of listening, the thought of state of mind  that are focused on the external world loosen their hold. These thought leave the state of mind  of the listener. In this way, the state of mind  starts feeling relieved, light and happy.

How is the habit of listening to be created? Most people do not know that they have no interest in listening. The truth is that they allow their state of mind  to grasp only fraction of what they hear. They keep the rest of what they have heard as un-listened. As such when majority of human being listens, they listens only a fraction part. The reason for this is that the un-alertness part of state of mind  listening of a human being keeps it .Semi engrossed in the worries and cares of world. These worries and cares are deep in the listener’s state of mind . The other semi true thought points out the fraction part of state of mind  of human being that listens to attentively and carefully, is related only to that issue in which he has some interest and which is inconformity with his own thought or which strengthens his beliefs. Such being the case, majority of human being evinces interest only about their own religion. They do not show any interest in listening to the religion of others. They are not even prepared to listen about other religions.

The habit of listening unconsciously can be corrected through a conscious practice of this semi true thought. You are to consciously practice the art of listening and learn how to listen patiently. You are to consciously listen about the subject and object that you detest or about the religion in which you have no belief. You are to listen to all such unsavory issues with full alertness. You are further to show keen interest in the music and language in which you have no liking. You are to listen to all such unpalatable issues with full alertness and attentively. You are to practice listening and develop its habit. In the beginning you are likely to face some difficulty in cultivating this habit. You are likely to face difficulty in practicing the art of listening but ultimately in meditation and yoga practice success is certain.

It is also possible that on practicing this art and in cultivating this habit, your state of mind  may start entering into a state of sleep. You are to take care and not allow your state of mind  to go to sleep. You are to continue practicing the habit of listening. After the state of mind  wakes up, you are to re-start listening. By carrying on this exercise over a long period, you will start deriving pleasure out of this exercise and practice. You will start hearing the distant and external sounds of animate and inanimate things. You will start recognizing them from the sound of their voices and the cadences of their tones. semi true thought lies in listening to thought contrary to those that are heard in state of mind  by developing the habit of listening while keeping Semi-sense in a state of interested aware silence.

How is the habit of entering the state of aware silence developed? Most people do not believe in this semi true thought that they are afraid of death. They also do not believe that they are afraid of complete silence and stillness. They also do not believe that they are afraid of total darkness and are afraid of solitude. The state of mind  is constantly busy in the vast business of run-away trespassing and recurring thought. This import export business of thought makes the state of mind  extremely restless. If a human being sitting in solitude and in darkness or in stillness enters the state of silence, his alertness will get focused on the thought passing through his state of mind . The flow of thought, especially the thought that generate fear, will get agitated. When this happens, human being tries to suppress these thought all the time and keep them under control.

He keeps on postponing his entry into the state of silence. He keeps on entangling his thought in other thought’s for keeping them busy and out of fear of agitating his state of mind . He keeps on postponing his entry into silence. For this, he watches the TV or play cards or whiles away his time among idlers. If these diversions are not available, he starts reading an old novel or a newspaper. To instill the habit of silence, a person has to practice living in solitude daily and with full alertness and attention. a person has to consciously practice listening to the Great Grand silence by sitting in darkness with eyes closed. Further, with full alertness and attention, a person has to focus a person’s attention on any internal organ of a person’s liking and interest and practice alertness about it.

What happens on listening to the Great Grand silence, Ohm? A person, who has learnt the art of listening to the Great Grand silence at will, ascends the first website page  on the path of meditation and yoga. Most people do not believe in this truth that when a human being listens to the great silence called Ohm, which is originating from interior formless semi-state of mind , his alertness at that time is not focused, on his attachment for a particular subject or object of matter world or thought of state of mind . At such a time, none of the human being’s senses is engaged in thinking. The great silence around him is the echoed part of the static universe playing in interior state of mind . It directly comes from the state of mind . Ear sense organ plays no role and this sound is coming directly from with in corpse and is felt by feeling with aware senses of state of mind . The great silence is heard all the more clearly when the ears are plugged. At the time of listening to the great silence the state of mind  becomes totally free from all thought. The state of mind  thereafter becomes static, calm and static and stable. It entertains only a person thought and that thought pertains to the great silence that it wishes to imbibe. The Great Sage tells the disciple to repeatedly stop the flow of thought of the state of mind  through constant, sustained and prolonged practice. He tells the disciple to enter the great silence through the practice and method of meditation and yoga. Majority of the human being are not aware that Great Grand interior sound of body is same in all human beings at all times and in all locations of universe. When a person is hearing interior sound of this serenity, a person is really concentrating near the oneness of formless core  nature essence that is appearing in endless matter forms in universe.

What is the yoga practice and method of  yoga? The senses of state of mind  and sense organs of corpse use to be purified before undertaking the yoga practice  and yoga leading to the great silence, leading to meditation, leading to concentration and finally leading to the state of transcendental super consciousness called Samadhi or Yoga music. Detailed exposition of these methods is given in thesis 29 to 33 of Meditation Practice .
Yoga Tip: - Select any a person spiritual appearance  like Penates & remain above any blind worship or superstition attached to Penates. Practice yoga on Penates with devotion regularly and consciously. Here is offered an icon of spiritual appearance of The Penates plaque shrine that has been a central ornamentation of every Roman household. The temple-shaped Penates plaque shrine depicts two violent large figures; with upraised offering bowls that is gesture of prosperity and health to the deity at center. Penates is the Genius, or eldest ancestor of the family. The serpent below  Penates symbolizes the clan's generative fertility, energy and longevity. Penates plaque shrine is also symbol of consciousness that have taken form of serpent under lack of spiritual knowledge and is dancing to the tune of all the three states of nature in whole universe.
