Prayer of dedication to  the true god essence  can be graded as mild, moderate or intense. Since Prayer of dedication to the god essence also has different grades, there exists difference in the functioning of these grades.

 What is required in addition to intense zeal and fervor is self-Prayer of dedication to the true god. This is essential to quickly obtain seeded religious union, which is a form of non-preparatory meditation and yoga. Faith in the inner formless god essence is to be kept reinforced and the practice of contemplation prayer and renunciation of desires of fruits is continuously to be maintained. Humble prayer has to be made to the pure God essence  for bestowing the grace of interior knowledge of the religious union with the soul on the disciple. The disciple has to Prayer of dedication his body, mind, his self-sense and his ego before the inner while meditating on memory of God. He is to sacrifice his body, mind, intelligence and self-sense with devotion to pure God essence . He is to seek refuge in the true god. He is to obey his command.

 Patanjali says that meditation and yoga is a full and complete interior knowledge of the religious union with the soul and  God essence. He says that it is possible to attain both seeded and seedless religious union with the aid of meditation and yoga and according to its method and technique. What is required is that a disciple has to continuously make his thought and memory craving free and even thought-free in order to attain these religious union. Purifying meditative knowledge, deliberative knowledge, knowledge of bliss,, knowledge of mind and knowledge of self-consciousness can perfect seeded religious union. On the perfection of seeded religious union, perfect disciple is bound to get seedless religious union. It may take him sometime to attain seedless religious union.

In case he is able to attain seeded religious union during his single life span, it then becomes possible for him to attain self-realization and true religious knowledge as well in the same single life span. Once he attains that, the doors of religious knowledge of life and death, knowledge of salvation, knowledge of formless God essence realization, get opened for him. If, however, a perfect disciple during the perfection of his seeded religious union dies for any reason, he is bound to get the seedless religious union in his  next  life. This is because his conscious state of mind will carry the subliminal lingering karma impressions of his previous life into his  next  life.

His pure actions after his rebirth will denote as if the attainment of seedless religious union written on the lingering karma impressions of his this life. Zeal and enthusiasm and interest are, however, the necessary pre-requisites for the purification of seeded religious union in a single lifetime. It is also essential to undertake meditation on reaching the last stage and seek refuge in the inner formless god essence. The disciple has to worship the god essence day-in and day-out.

 Patanjali says that innumerable are the paths, which lead to the vision of the inner formless god essence and attainment of salvation. There are, however, three main branches of single paths. They are Bhakti Margi (path of devotion), Karma Margi (path of action) and Gian Margi (path of religious knowledge). The path of devotion is best suited for a person who has deep faith and intense interest in God essence and willingness to Prayer of dedication him completely before any God form.

What is the difficulty in obtaining God essence realization and salvation by following the path of devotion and worship? Religious knowledge of formless God essence is very vast and wide. It is infinite. It cannot be fully comprehended. The religious knowledge of the universe is also vast. It is also infinite, fathomless and beyond comprehension.  Patanjali says that religious knowledge about formless God essence and religious knowledge about formless nature essence lies hidden in the conscious state of mind of the body of the living being. It is on attaining religious knowledge of the human being’s mind and body that religious knowledge about formless God essence and formless nature essence can be simultaneously acquired. The religious knowledge of the living being’s mind and body is also very vast. It is infinite. It is fathomless. This religious knowledge lies hidden in a person’s self-conscious  and self-sense. The religious knowledge of  self-consciousness is also very vast. It is also very vast. It is also infinite and fathomless. It does not really come in the grasp of the intellect or brain of human being. This religious knowledge lies concealed in the thought of the mind and the cravings of thought.

The religious knowledge of thought and religious knowledge of thought of craving is also beyond measure. Such religious knowledge does not easily get within the reach of human being’s intellect brain and senses. It lies hidden in the modifications of the unconscious state of mind. The religious knowledge of the thought of the mind and the religious knowledge of the thought of the craving is also fathomless and beyond measure. It cannot be easily comprehended. The religious knowledge of the gross senses and religious knowledge of the contemplated thought of the unconscious state of mind is also very vast. It is fathomless. This religious knowledge can, however, be obtained by keeping the body and mind static and calm  and peaceful and by repeated efforts in stopping the cravings of the mind. The Great Sage speaks about the attainment of formless God essence realization and salvation by stopping the thought of the mind through repeated efforts and by to obey his commands.

A person endowed with such a nature should follow the path of devotion. The path of action is most suitable for a person whose natural interest lies in undergoing penance and in the enjoyment of actions by making his body and mind craving free. The path of religious knowledge is most suitable for a person endowed with greater wisdom, courage and fearlessness and whose natural interest lies in attaining salvation rather than heaven bliss. It is possible to attain self-realization and thereafter formless God essence realization followed by salvation through the path of religious knowledge in a single life time or at the most in two life spans.
