Insight vision of
meditation on any one essence 32 : -
To prevent the nine disorder and diseases and its implication as detailed in web page 30 and web page 31 , there should be an effort for stability of meditation in conscious state of mind to a single essence, principle or doctrine. One can subdue these disorder and diseases and its implication by working with any one of the following principles of practice. To overcome the disorder and diseases and their implication, the intense practice on some one truth is required. A disciple should undertake sustained
practice to fix his conscious state of mind on one essence and one principle in order to
check his nine mental implication of disorder and diseases. He should gradually adhere to the practice of
one method. There is no doubt that resorting to anyone single method, would help
in overcoming the nine referred implication of disorder and diseases of mind. At the same time a
disciple should remember that frequent change of the methods adopted in his
meditation would not overcome his implication of disorder and diseases of mind. On the
contrary, frequently changing the methods would aggravate the nine referred
implication of disorder and diseases of mind. The nine referred implication of disorder
and diseases of mind, which
obstruct the mind from fixing its meditation on a
single essence, can be checked by making sustained efforts. Efforts are to be
made to make the mind stable and fixed on one single essence or on one single
principle. It is only then that the implication of disorder and diseases mentioned in the
preceding website page would get checked. The four implication of disorder
and diseases are
pain, unease body, and uncontrolled inbreathing
and out-breathing process. These are the implication of nine implication of disorder and
diseases and
impediments, which obstruct the path of meditation. The nine implication of disorder
and diseases mentioned there in are Disease, lack of interest or
mental laziness, doubt or indecision, carelessness or negligence, sloth or
idleness of physical form, absence of not to be under the effect of attraction or lacking control on
senses, mistaken notions or living under illusions, inability to hold what is
attained and inability to hold progress in meditation These are the dispersions of the mind and
they are also the implication of disorder and diseases, which hinder the path of meditation
practice. They are not to be considered as a disease and treated as such at the
time of meditation practice. On the contrary, refuge of the inner god
essence is to be sought. The disciple is to surrender himself completely,
totally and unconditionally before inner formless god essence. He is only to
obey God’s essence command and do his bidding. In case the disciple is not able to undertake
the aforementioned recourse viz. self-surrender, he is then to carefully and
consciously analyze these impediments while remaining in a state of full
consciousness. Thereafter he is to enter meditation keeping the analysis of
these factors in his conscious state of mind. During the state of meditation, he is to
keep his attention focused on the formless god mystical echo name or the
essence of formless inner sound of body. He is also to keep his conscious state of
mind
focused on the spiritual knowledge of the lord’s essence characteristic and
qualities. Further, meditation on the spiritual knowledge imparted by the Guru
is to be undertaken by him. The focusing of the conscious state of mind on the lord’s
characteristic and qualities and recitation of his true name, should be
accompanied by an evocation of their meaning and significance consciously. This
practice should be undertaken with complete sincerity, faith and truthfulness. The Great Sage has mentioned about these
aspects in the preceding website page of this chapter. There are, however, other
remedies for the aforementioned implication of disorder and diseases. The Great
Sage mentions these remedies in website page 32 to
website page
39. The best remedy is
that in which the disciple evinces keen interest and which suits him the most
and his mind accepts gladly. It is mentioned in this website page that the
implication of disorder and diseases in the path of meditation can be warded off and their
implication can be checked through a determined effort. This effort should
aim at fixing the mind on a single essence or on a single principle or on a
single method. Them meditation should focus on nullifying and
restraining the thought of the mind, the thought that symbolize and indicate
the presence of these implication of disorder and diseases. At the time of restraining the thought, the
mind is to be made totally craving free and consciously. The mind at that time
is to be gathered, collected and concentrated on a single essence or on a single
principle or on a single method liked by mind consciously. The mind is to be
totally occupied and fixed and focused on that single essence alone. The mind is
not to be allowed to disperse its concentration and its fixation on anything
else. While undergoing the practice of fixing the mind on a single essence, entry
is to be made into the state of Yoga music consciously. The single essence may be in the form of the
more subtle names of the lord or the soul or the conscious state of mind or lack of
spiritual knowledge. The single essence may be in the form of the five
subtle elements viz. color, smell, sound, taste and touch or it may be in the
form of other five matter elements viz. earth, water, fire, air and light. The fixation of the mind is to be only on a
single essence or on a single principle or on a single method. The mind is not to
be fixed on two entities simultaneously. It is to be fixed on that single
essence
in which the disciple has keen interest and like much. The mind is to be fixed
on that single essence which makes it happy and stable. The whole exercise is
undertaken to make the mind stable, guilt-free and craving free. Fixation of the
mind is to be according to the liking of the disciple. It is of no consequence whether the
method followed is proper or not and is considered virtuous or vice by
various religion practices and beliefs. What is important is that the exercise
should entail sustained efforts towards fixing the mind on a single essence and
conscious state of mind accept it gladly. The more the mind becomes stable on a subtle
element, the more will it become stable in its path. If fixation of the mind is
not possible on a subtle object, then it should be fixed on a matter object. The
fixation of the mind is to be done on one essence by keeping it happy under all
circumstances.
