Visayavati  = a specified subject  , va  = or , pravrttih  =subtle thought, , utpanna  = arisen , manasah  = the individual mind , sthiti = position ,  nibandhani = stablized.

 Insight vision on innovative yoga thesis on stability 35 : -

Prolonged stability of concentration  on it in conscious state of mind produces stability and peace in the mind as well freedom from its obstacles. According to  Patanjali the individual mind achieves  stability through continued process of its stability or concentration on a specific subject. When the individual mind is stabilized on an subject and the stability is prolonged with full consciousness, stability results in the emergence of conscience .Stability in turn results in the individual mind-becoming steady,  stilled and stabilized.

The production and emergence of thought regarding subtle issues makes the mind free from obstacles and impediments, guilt as also from the fruit of action. Getting involved in issues pertaining to the concentration of the mind and its subtle reality and issues regarding taste, color, touch and sound which are subjects without form, leads to the liberation and stability of the individual mind. Further, realization of poison in the matter elements and in its thought regarding these elements also lead to liberation from thought that help in stilling thoughts in individual mind. Argumentative thought, which run in innumerable directions, create craving in the individual mind. They further create envy, impurity and restlessness. Stability of the individual mind on a particular subject or subtle subject liked by mind also leads to liberation from these argumentative thought.

It is only when  concentration is fixed on an external subject and the perception of this subject is prolonged in the mind that obstacles and impediments, which obstruct the path of meditation, also get erased. When thought of meditation arise in the conscious mind, the individual mind tends to become thought-free, clean, guilt-free, peaceful and happy. Individual mind becomes ready for entering automatically into a state of stability while remaining in a state of complete alertness. The Great Sage says that in case the nine dispersions and the five indicators of obstacles appear in the individual mind before entering into a state of stability, the disciple should not take his individual mind forcibly into meditation and stability. The disciple is to first tackle these obstacles and their indicators.

It is only after these obstacles and their indicators are eliminated that he is to make his individual mind descend into meditation and stability in conscious mind. The individual mind is not to be made unhappy under any circumstance or condition. The individual mind’s stability is to be first focused on some matter issue in order to liberate it from its involvement with the matter world and argumentative thought. The individual mind so liberated will become stabilized and peaceful and fit for accompanying the disciple into the state of meditation and stability in conscious mind. By feeling subtle thought of a matter subject liked by individual mind, the disciple’s stability, by itself, comes out of the individual mind, which contains obstacles and impediments. Stability of conscious mind on the thought of matter subject or subtle subject leads to the stability in the conscious mind.

When numerous other thought get born and are experienced by them or in case one smells a fragrance or hears unique voices or one gets a glimpse of a god or goddess or one gets a unique taste, all these indicate that the individual mind requires to be made stabilized. These indicators indicate that the individual mind is to be freed from the obstacles and impediments, which hinder the path of perfect meditation and stability. Incase the mind experiences subtle feeling and has a realization of forms of gods and goddesses, these are considered to be auspicious indicators to stability of the mind. They make the mind happy. Becoming happy, the mind becomes stabilized. It becomes fit for entering into deep meditation and stability. These unique experience of subtle feeling are coming from deeper mind which a disciple experiences a number of times during meditation and stability, are indicators that gods and goddesses and godly forces of nature essence have removed the obstacles and impediments which obstruct the path of meditation and stability. Their removal leads to the stability of the mind.

Although Mirabai / Meera bhai was married off to a Rajput prince, her overwhelming devotion to Krishna remained uppermost in Mirabai / Meera bhai life. Mirabai / Meera bhai was severely persecuted by her in-laws and Mirabai / Meera bhai fled from her home. Mirabai / Meera bhai mystical love poems for the Dark Krishna Lord, are still known and loved among the greatest devotional poetry in the Hindi language.
