This part describes the final stage of the
The subliminal karma impressions, which are produced out of the truth bearing religious wisdom, give birth to the fruit of action. The result is that contemplation; memory, experience and alertness are born. The fruits of action which are meant to be enjoyed in the present life and whose vibrations, waves, forms and inclinations keep on manifesting them from time to time-all these keep on getting purified by the truth bearing wisdom and its memory and experienced conscious state of mind. The master in the form of essence
of the conscience is ultimately able
to restrain and suppress the subliminal karma impressions by achieving total and
absolute control and restraint of his mental processes. The master in the form
of essence of the conscience’s
aim is to attain the highest form of seedless
It is towards this goal that the
master in the form of essence of the conscience
makes sustained efforts. When the restraint of subliminal karma impressions born
out of
the truth bearing
religious wisdom occurs, it results in the total and
absolute restraint of mental process. This is the state, which is called the
state of seedless Samadhi or a state of consciousness in mind in which the
consciousness of the experiencing subject becomes one with the experienced
object. . When the subliminal karma impressions born
out of truth bearing intellect and consciousness and their memory get
restrained, the matter and subtle and extremely subtle thought emanating from
the conscious mind and emanating from the sub conscious mind and emanating from
the interior core of conscious mind, also get restrained. It is by this process
that the unconscious mind, the sub conscious mind and the interior core of super
conscious mind, become craving free. It is at this time that the connection of
interior core nature essence with the interior consciousness in mind
gets broken in conscious mind. When this happens, the doors of seedless seedless
Samadhi or a state of consciousness in mind in which the consciousness of the
experiencing subject becomes one with the experienced object. get opened.
With his entry in the seedless Samadhi ,the master in the form of essence
of the conscience gets back to his own true formless form non-dual
consciousness. There it keeps on having a vision of his self. There it keeps on
having a vision of the formless core nature essence state. With the
concentration of conscious state of mind in the super conscious mind, the master
in the form of essence of the conscience gets
insight vision and realization of the formless consciousness essence. The master
in the form of essence of the conscience gets
insight vision of the interior god essence. He gets insight vision of God essence
himself. He gets insight vision of the one supreme reality. This is supreme
religious knowledge. He gets insight vision of God essence that is not subject
to birth and death. He gets insight vision of the Doer. By becoming static
forever and by adopting and absorbing the characteristic and qualities of
formless God essence, the embodied consciousness keeps on resting forever in a
state of bliss. He keeps on floating in a state of bliss. This is the state of
seedless Samadhi or a state of consciousness in mind in which the consciousness of
the experiencing subject becomes one with the experienced object. . It is the
seedless Samadhi of the insight vision of
self-conscious. It is the last stage of the embodied consciousness and the last stage of
his life. Thereafter, he gets merged in interior formless God essence himself. Patanjali say that in the
practice of meditation , thought of mind are to be restrained. When
the flow of thought is completely stopped, body, mind, mind’s lack of
religious knowledge, self-sense, pain and distress and craving, will also get
restrained automatically. It is then that the master in the form of essence of
the conscience’s self-conscious, his concentration and his attention will get
stabilized in the consciousness essence itself. This state of meditation is
called seedless Samadhi or a state of consciousness in mind in which the
consciousness of the experiencing subject becomes one with the experienced
object. . It is only after
the attainment of the state of seedless Samadhi that a master in the
form of essence of the conscience gets
insight vision of his true self and insight vision or realization of the
supreme-self. It is then that he attains self-realization and God realization.
It is however; only after he gets self-realization that he will get God
realization. When a master in the form of essence of the conscience attains self-realization and God realization, the
insight vision that he beholds is fathomless, limitless and invaluable. It is
not possible to have a comprehensive view of this insight vision. The insight
vision itself cannot be described in words, language or in the framework of any
form. It can neither be told nor it can be understood. The Great Sage says that in the practice
of meditation , it is of utmost importance and necessity that thought
are too be completely stopped from the conscious mind. He says that
even subtle thought called feeling and thought pertaining to subliminal
lingering past impressions called seed karma are to be stopped. Not only
thought are to be stopped but also one’s re-action and consciousness about
them are also to be stopped. The thought of meditation and the thought of
concentration are also to be stopped. When there is absolute and complete
restraint in the conscious mind and the conscious mind has become totally
thought-free, it is then that concentration and self-conscious start getting
focused in the conscious mind. It is then that the interior
consciousness essence gets
insight vision of its own true and formless shape. It is then that the
consciousness
essence gets a glimpse of the true and formless shape of god essence and nature
essence. It is then that the consciousness essence starts realizing and feeling
supreme religious knowledge. All these aspects cannot be described in words. It
is, however, a state wherein the interior consciousness essence encompasses the non-recurrence
of life and death, state of formlessness and state of indestructibility. It is
in this state that the consciousness essence realizes that it is the supreme
doer. When this state is reached the interior consciousness essence adopts and absorbs the
characteristic and qualities of interior God essence and becomes as true formless
as God essence. The consciousness essence merges with God essence and becomes one with
him. The thought of the conscious mind, which
have been adopted and absorbed from others by, hear say or through argumentation
or which have been gained from the religious knowledge of others, are called
intellectual thought. They occur in the unconscious mind that is in the outer
circumference of the conscious mind. These intellectual thought are first of
all to be restrained and nullified. Thought are the subject matter of the outer
formless mind. As such, a resolve has to be undertaken to stop the flow of
thought. A pledge has to be undertaken to imaginatively stop their flow in the
outer unconscious mind. Each and every moment, innumerable thought keep on
running and racing unconsciously in innumerable directions over the unconscious
mind. These thought keep up their activities during sleep, during waking hours,
during eating, in fact during all the time. Contemplation and meditation can occur only
when the consciousness’s essence and conscious state of mind gets fixed and
focused in interior conscious mind. This is possible when the innumerable thought
running over the outer unconscious mind in innumerable directions, are brought
to a standstill. Self-conscious moves at such a fast speed in mind that its
speed cannot even are measured. With self-conscious, one is to contemplate on
the universe or on any of its subject or object. It enters that subject or
object through the five senses viz. eyes, ears, nose, tongue and skin. The
consciousness
essence is inside the conscious mind and God essence is inside the consciousness essence.
As such, when self-conscious contemplates about the consciousness essence or God essence,
it is the self-conscious i.e. concentration that enters the consciousness and God. The
contemplation that occurs, however, is in name only. Such contemplation gives a
feeling of having a glimpse, which in reality is not the real glimpse. The
conscious mind feels deluded by nature essence on having a glimpse like feeling
and it is this delusion, which baffles the mind. The reality of consciousness and God
essence is far more subtle and deep and cannot be grasped so easily by the
intellect of human brain and senses or captured in words, languages developed by
human mind. When during meditation followed by
seedless Samadhi or a state of consciousness in mind in which the consciousness of
the experiencing subject becomes one with the experienced object, the conscious mind gets ready to stabilize on the contemplation of a
single subject or object, such a state is called argumentative Samadhi - accompanied by analysis of matter objects. During this type
of Samadhi , contemplation remains centered on the form and name and
meaning as well as on the intellectual thought pertaining to the subject or
object. Further, whatever contemplation takes place; it takes place consciously
with the conscious mind remaining in a state of complete alertness. In case,
however, contemplation takes place unconsciously, it will tantamount to impure
contemplation. The result is that impure intellectual thought will be
experienced by the conscious mind. This is the first stage of seeded Samadhi ..
During this stage contemplation takes place in the unconscious mind. In the second stage, meditation takes place in the sub conscious mind on a single subject or object of nature essence. During such meditation the form of contemplation, its name and meaning falls away. The resultant meditation is pure, thought free and intellectual free. Faith is the anchor sheet of such a meditation. A seeded Samadhi accompanying such a meditation is called thoughtless Samadhi . without analysis of matter objects. This type of meditation is better than logic free Samadhi , which is also based on faith and intellectual religious knowledge. This meditation is superior in form or language and intellectual religious knowledge. This type of meditation occurs only during thoughtless Samadhi . The third stage of Samadhi is called self-consciousness
in conscious mind. It is also called Samadhi , without analysis of subtle
objects. During this state of Samadhi , contemplation and self-conscious
descend deep in the conscious mind. It is there that meditation takes place.
Hence, whatever subtle comes in the grasp of meditation these pertains to the
waves of enjoyment of fruits of action, which emerge out of one’s result
oriented actions. These waves manifest themselves in the natural bent of
conscious mind and inclination and only in feeling form. The entire network of
cravings and desires, comprise meditation. The fourth stage of Samadhi is called
seeded Samadhi . It is also called Samadhi with conscious state of mind in
pure conscious mind. It is also called Samadhi without analysis of
subtle objects. In this Samadhi self-conscious descends from the sub
conscious mind into the interior core conscious mind called pure conscious.
The interior core conscious mind is one mind of all the living bodies of the
universe. The interior core conscious mind is even beyond the past lingering
subliminal karma impressions by which a human life is governed. True religious
knowledge, self-conscious and concentration reside beyond the waves of enjoyment
of fruits of action. These waves rise in the conscious mind along with the waves
of lust and cravings. This, in fact, is the thought free, intellect free and
experience free state. Whatever contemplation and thought occurs during this
state it is only in the shape of self-conscious and concentration. Such a
feeling and realization occurs as testimony and as a witness of the vision,
which the conscious mind obtains. Such a feeling and realization is beyond the
grasp of words and language. Such a feeling and realization can only be
experienced and felt and cannot be thought with intellect of brain. The perfection of the fourth stage of the
Samadhi is called seeded Samadhi . It is also called Samadhi accompanied with self-consciousness. In the seeded
Samadhi , it is the separateness of consciousness essence and nature essence that is
contemplated and felt. This is known as the religious knowledge of
discrimination and wisdom. On the perfection of seeded
Samadhi ,
the conscious mind and its contemplative thought are bestowed self-realization
by the grace, mercy and benevolence of interior formless God essence. The conscious
mind receives enlightenment. The conscious mind during this phase remains in a
state of truth bearing consciousness. The subtle intellect during this stage
gets endowed with supreme religious knowledge. Further, the intellect also gets
endowed with seven types of subtle and supreme religious knowledge's. These
include religious knowledge pertaining to thought, religious knowledge
pertaining to restraint of thought, religious knowledge pertaining to
separation of the body, religious knowledge pertaining to the unconscious mind
and separation of the senses, religious knowledge pertaining to the conscious
mind and its experienced religious knowledge of past subliminal lingering
impressions, religious knowledge pertaining to pleasure and pain, merit and
demerit, piety and sin, righteousness and non-righteousness, attachment,
aversion and lack of religious knowledge and religious knowledge pertaining to
conscious mind. The fifth stage of seeded Samadhi is called
the stage wherein the master in the form of essence of the conscience experiences a complete cessation of functions.
During this Samadhi the seeded Samadhi already attained gets
completely and totally purified. Self-conscious however, remains focused on
the subjects and objects of interior nature essence. This self-conscious does
not turn towards deeper interior consciousness essence or towards more interior God essence. Or
one can say that it remains for one reason or another, incapable of attaining
interior God’s essence grace and benevolence. It, however, keeps on floating
consciously in a state of bliss in interior nature. The sixth stage of Samadhi is called
the experience of condition. It is also a form of seeded Samadhi ,
which gets manifested, in the life. The embodied interior consciousness essence keeps on
undergoing the remaining and left over subliminal impressions in a desire-free
and craving free state. The seventh stage of Samadhi
is called the seedless Samadhi . During this seedless Samadhi or a state
of consciousness in mind in which the consciousness of the experiencing subject becomes
one with the experienced object , not only the seeds of actions but also the
subliminal impressions start getting eliminated. Self-conscious gets stabilized
forever on interior consciousness essence and God essence.
The relation of one’s conscious mind, the relation of one’s sub-conscious
mind or relation of one’s interior conscious mind with interior nature essence
starts getting broken by itself. By getting stabilized in the formless interior
consciousness essence, the conscious state of mind keeps on getting insight
vision or realization of the formless religious knowledge of the interior
consciousness essence. The embodied consciousness
essence gets immersed in the bliss of interior formless God essence forever. He
finally merges with formless God essence. Thereafter, he becomes immortal,
aversion-free, fear-free, and imperishable and a doer and Almighty. The embodied
consciousness essence reaches a state in which he is not subject to the cycle of birth
and death. He becomes the truth. He becomes the eternal verity. He becomes the
one true name or reality. He keeps on reverberating and resounding forever one
single cosmic echo. Thereafter, his self-conscious loses its contact with
the consciousness essence and merges in innermost essence of formless god that is center
of entire universe or interior end of universe that is endless global form essence. In the great silence of the formless, essence
the consciousness by becoming mute, remains in an infinite small form of echo.
Becoming unaware of its consciousness, it loses contact with it. This is the
last stage of his journey when he reaches the end from which there is no return
to birth or death. Patanjali is making the master in the form of essence
of the conscience understand by
imparting this religious knowledge about the travails of an embodied
consciousness who
finally achieves merger with the Almighty formless God essence. The Guru is
explaining to the master in the form of essence of the conscience that after becoming thought-free and intellect free,
the embodied consciousness essence is having a last insight vision of his own worldly
life in universe.
